How do I cancel my subscription?

Everything you need to know about cancelling your self-serve Lookback subscription (Freelance, Team, or Insights Hub)

  • Only the Owner of a Lookback Org can cancel subscription if necessary.

  • You need to cancel your subscription before the next billing cycle starts, since we don't offer pro-rated refunds on subscription cancellations, as per our refund policy.

  • Canceling your subscription only stops it from auto-renewing. The subscription will remain active with full access to all functionality and data until the end of the current billing cycle. If you don't cancel the subscription it will renew automatically at the end of the billing cycle (which is standard for most SaaS). For example: if your subscription renewal date is 01 December 2023 and you cancel it on 01 October 2023, you'll still have access for 2 months and on 01 December 2023 your subscription will end and you will no longer be charged.

  • Downloading recordings must be done while your subscription is still active. If you want access to any of your recordings after your subscription ends, make sure you download your recordings before your current billing cycle ends. Note: downloading isnโ€™t available on the free Trial or the legacy Starter plan.

  • You can find your current billing cycle end date on the Billing page.

๐Ÿš€ Sometimes the terms "account", "organization," and "subscription" are mistakenly used interchangeably. Subscription is the service, that's what you pay for. The subscription is tied to a Lookback organization, and the Lookback organization can have an unlimited number of team members, each of which has a personal Lookback user account.


Here's a walkthrough of how the owner of a Lookback organization goes about canceling the subscription:

  1. Click the dropdown menu on the top right corner of the page

  2. Click Billing

  3. Click Manage Subscription

  4. Click Cancel Plan and follow the prompts to reconfirm cancelation.
