If you are doing a LiveShare (moderated), SelfTest (unmoderated), or Tasks (unmoderated) round on a mobile device, your participant will need to install our mobile app. For Interview (moderated) rounds on mobile and all round types on desktop, the participants only need a browser.
❗ If you are doing an Interview session on a mobile/tablet device, they do not need to install our Participate app, but they will not be able to share their screen due to Android and Apple restrictions. If you're doing a moderated test on mobile and need participants to share screen, you must use a LiveShare round instead.
For mobile/tablet testing:
When users open the Participant Link on the relevant device, they'll be prompted to install the appropriate Participate App if needed.
