Before the session begins, the Participant should:

Grab headsets (optional), and then they're asked for their name and email. If you don't require sharing real name and email, just request they make something up, e.g., P1, P2, etc. and as long as the email address follows the format

Then a series of permissions:

  1. notifications are requested should there be any issues to alert the Participant of β€” they're sent during the research session ONLY.

  2. Enable camera, screen (iOS screen broadcast steps are shown above), turn on microphone, and then they’re held in the waiting room until the Moderator initiates the session.

  3. The Moderator is notified in-app when a Participant has arrived and is ready to begin.

NOTE: For Step 7 - Participants using their iOS device must go through an extra step to enable screen broadcast via Apple's "picker." See video below πŸ‘‡
