SelfTest is great for those 1β3 question-studies whereby the participant provides speak-aloud feedback to a specific interaction or discrete task e.g., defining terms within a product, expectations of where a button may take you, etc.
Here's how:
Add your list of tasks under Instructions.
You can also:
- Include multiple prototype links or website urls
- Format text and URLs under Instructions, using MarkdownRemember to click Save in the to right corner.
Participants will see these instructions when they are about to begin testing, and can also revisit Instructions at any point during the session, by clicking the bubble (hand icon).
On iOS ...
To read your list of tasks at the start, iOS Participants can just tap Instructions
To revisit your list of tasks, iOS Participants can tap the Yellow hand icon to switch back and forth between the Participate Browser and the Instructions. If they've away from the Participate App, they can just navigate back to the Participate App, to read Instructions.
Hyperlinks under Instructions will open up within the Participate Browser.
On Android ...
To read your list of tasks at the start, Android Participants can just tap Instructions
To revisit your list of tasks, Android Participants can tap the Yellow hand icon to switch back and forth between the app/website/prototype that they are testing and Instructions.
Hyperlinks under Instructions will open up in a separate window (in the device's default browser)
π Pro Tip! Last-minute changes? Just click the 'Edit' button beside the respective Round to update your Tasks and click 'Save' before the session begins.
