Updating Participate Desktop (Chrome extension)

You're attempting to use Participate Desktop Chrome extension to do a Remote or an In-Person LiveShare, but your software is out of date.

To ensure that your test is successful, make sure that you're using the latest version of Participate. Chrome automatically updates all extensions, but this can take a while depending on when Chrome checks for new versions and if your web browser is active.

If you can't wait, you can manually force the update:

1. Go to Menu > Settings > Extensions, or enter the following address into the Chrome address bar: chrome://extensions

2. Enable the "Developer mode" option in the top-right corner

3. Click UPDATE in the top navigation bar.

4. Try to perform your test again, by revisiting the Participate link, or clicking the "In-person" test button.
